Currently under construction in the Eastgate area of Bellevue, this station is technically a remodel and addition to an existing building but in reality, nearly all of the existing building has been razed and a new station is being built in the same footprint. It is a 11,258 sf two story building that has five apparatus bays and houses both an engine and EMS company. ECH and the same consultant team proposed for your Renton Fire Station project was responsible for full design documentation including pre-design services, construction documents, specifications, cost estimating and construction administration. The standing seam metal roofing and decorative concrete masonry unit exterior materials were chosen for their minimal maintenance characteristics. The $1.78 million station will reopen for service in May 2002.
