U.S. COAST GUARD
ECH Architecture has a long-standing relationship with the U.S. Coast Guard that includes work on over 150 projects since the beginning of our relationship in 1988. ECH experience includes work on two full service AE Indefinite Delivery Contracts (IDC) and four CADD Production Services IDC contracts over this period. All of these contracts have included a diversity of project types from waterfront pier elevations, repairs and design, to aviation hangar studies and design. Many of these projects have required the expertise to solve special engineering challenges. A cross section of Task Orders include:

PORT OF SEATTLE
ECH has contracted directly with the Port of Seattle on 20 separate work orders including one Indefinite Delivery Contract accounting for nine work orders. Work orders have included marine and aviation projects. Projects include accessibility upgrades at Pier 48 and numerous projects at SeaTac International Airport including a 42,000 SF snow removal equipment shelter, upgrades to the industrial waste treatment plant, several baggage level remodels to the main terminal, several emergency generator projects, Police locker room upgrades, shuttle studies, Concourse "A" security, police lunchroom remodel, 3rd floor main terminal administration and facilities offices upgrades, elevator upgrades, and security rescreening upgrades at South Satellite. ECH has worked with the Port of Seattle on over 100 projects for private corporations conducting business on Port of Seattle property where the Port retains review authority.
US NAVY
ECH contracted with the NAS Whidbey Island on (7) work orders. Projects included renovations to a 9,000 SF chapel and total building renovations and seismic upgrades to barracks BEQ 11 (22,400 SF), BEQ 4 (84,000 SF), and BOQ 2527 (58,800 SF). Additional projects included upgrades to BOQ 943, a remodel in hangar 6 to accommodate the relocated Secured Compartmented Intelligence Facility (SCIF) operations (4,800 SF) and a remodel to Building 2700 for computer room offices and support spaces within an existing high security communications facility (12,000 SF).
US POSTAL SERVICE
Design and preparation of Contract Documents with options for contract administration and inspection services for a variety of Post Office remodel and addition projects including historic preservation, re-roofing, lighting upgrade, painting, site improvements, parking, landscaping, and a survey and report of handicapped accessibility to all leased Postal Service facilities throughout WA and northern ID. 348 ADA facility surveys included drawings of non-complying areas, photographs, and estimated cost to alter for compliance. ECH has completed numerous remodel projects for the US Postal Service including, but not limited to:
- Parking additions in Grangeville, ID and Auburn, WA
- New lighting for the Main Postal Facility, Everett, WA
- HVAC upgrade in Spokane, WA
- Survey for a new roof at the Main Postal Facility, Everett, WA
- Roof and water penetration repairs at Port Orchard, WA
- Elevator repairs at downtown offices in Seattle and Tacoma, WA
- HVAC and electrical systems upgrade at Queen Anne Station, Seattle, WA
- Graphics and painting design at Bellevue, WA
US ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS
ECH has worked with both the Seattle and Alaska Districts of the Army Corps of Engineers. ECH provided architectural design, construction documents and cost estimates for the High Altitude Aurora Borealis Research Project to the U.S. Army Engineer District Alaska. The $10,000,000+ electrical communications research project included a power generation control room, communications control room, computer operations rooms, offices living quarters, maintenance and storage rooms, electronic equipment repair, and power generation areas. ECH also provided architectural design, medical planning, energy conservation policies and regulations, cost estimating and quality control for a 41,000 SF multi-specialty outpatient clinic at McChord Air Force Base for the Corps of Engineers.
