Maintenance Facility Expansion SeaTac International Airport, SeaTac, WA ECH Architecture is currently in the final stages of construction documents for the design of a major expansion and remodel of Alaska Airlines' Maintenance Facility Expansion at SeaTac International Airport. The project includes the expansion of Alaska Airlines shops and stores facilities that exist on 3 floors of a connector building between Alaska's (2) hangar buildings at the airport. The expansion adds 81,000 SF of new shops, stores, office and training facilities to the existing connector buildings over (3) floors. The project includes replacement of the existing loading dock facilities, computer facilities, new redundant fiber data feeds to the facility and new infrastructure to assure uninterrupted service to the facility as it is the major hub of Alaska's west coast communications between the states of Alaska and California. Spaces include avionics and wire shops, composite and machine shops, APU thrust reverser and engine build-up shops, training facilities including CBT training, locker facilities, cafeteria, non-destructive investigative testing, tech workrooms, records and large areas for office functions.
